In your opinion, what do you think is the best game to mod/skin?

My opinion: CS 1.6 for modding and skinning, but if you want some real fun with no time or effort, Battlefield 2 skinning, the fun part being that you could basically do what you liked to the walls, tanks, cars etc.

Oblivion. Probably one of the most flexible games with a storyline ever.. Oblivion has a crap-load of awesome mods.

Any Bethesda game ever, the mods are so varied it's a game into and of itself.

    Oblivion. Oblivion, Oblivion and Oblivion.

And when it comes out? Skyrim.

Though I've always had a soft spot for retarded custom HL2 skins and models. Makes for some unique and brilliant Garry's Mod comics, which I used to be very into xD

Same Mikk, HL2 Skins and Counter-Strike skins have always had a place for me, they're just so fun...
We used to play 1.6 in Engineering class all the time, everyone thought I hacked because I replaced one of the shotgun models with a dual Remington 870 skin. Good times.
But I love making new Camo's for Battlefield 2, if I get time, I'll redo some and post them up! Any suggestions?

CS 1.6 or MW2 simply because of all of the different game modes you can play with mods. :D

Oblivion or MW2. MW2 because it is to much fun when you mod it and there is so much variety in all the different mods you can do.

I'm going to say Counterstrike and Oblivion. I had a great time with those mods. I'm eagerly anticipating what can be done with Skyrim!

UT 2k4. UT 99 was pretty great for modding too but I thought the mutators and total conversion mods made for 2k4 were the bomb.

I'm completing the entire thing before any cheats touch the game:p And definitely Oblivion is by far the best game to mod, there are so many possibilities!

We'll have to see about that. Oblivion was very mod friendly (at least when it came to making them. Installing them was a pain in the ass) but Skyrim is being made primarily for consoles with PC support secondary. Although bethesda is still going to include their normal PC modding support and allegedly isn't going to gimp the PC version at all, there may be some kind of restrictions put in place on Skyrim that Oblivion didn't have since Oblivion was PC primarily and ported to console.

A games mod quality is determined by what people do with it.

Minecraft has some really fun mods, as well as WoW (World of Warcraft). One of the best games I've ever modded (Best as in the most fun) has been Morrowend The Elder Scrolls 3, it is an old game though as I have not modded for a while, but still it was very fun, it's basically an older version of Oblivion and is made by the same people.

I would have to say that Minecraft and Modern Warfare 2 are some of the best games to mod. With Minecraft, you can basically make the game your own without the need to make a private server. With MW2, you can use it to take advantage of other players :D.

lol I don't know if that's modding so much as hacking.
