    Hard to decide truthfully, I would say far as straight from the game that would be either Kingdom Hearts 1 or 2. Though with the Batman Arkham City special edition I got a download of a soundtrack that is based on the game/charcters, and I really like that as well.

    One of my favourites ever is Koop Island Blues from the Saboteur.



    And this.



    Overall the Saboetur soundtracks are all very nicely done/selected.
    It's really a shame Pandemic closed, would love to see Saboteur 2.

    My favorite soundtrack is either Yuna's Ballad or To Zanarkand from Final Fantasy X on the PS2.
    When I listen to them, I get all nostalgic and start to remember the game all over again ...

    I really like the soundtracks from Prince of Persia games, even the old ones, from '90s!
    In the newer games, like Sands of Time, Warrior Within and The Two Thrones, there are some very good rock tunes that start playing when you fight with monsters! :)

    Ahh, this is such a hard question! :/

    Seriously, there are so many good songs in general, and soundtracks specifically, that it'd be nearly impossible for me to say my favorite.

    I think the most solid soundtrack of all time, in my personal opinion, is that of the PlayStation game, Chrono Cross. About 95% of the songs in that soundtrack are awesome. I think the only (subjectively, at that) bad song is the normal battle theme.

    Chrono Trigger has a lot of great songs as well, and a great number of SNES games have well-made soundtracks. Here's a short list of games with soundtracks I love:

    1. The Legend of Zelda - A Link To The Past
    2. Terranigma
    3. Mystic Quest
    I could go on all day long! :eek:

    It's funny that I stumbled upon this thread shortly after seeing one of my fellow video game writers over at Hubpages talk about the top 5 video game series playable for their music. :)
